Liberty Doorworks, Inc., a NYS W.B.E. certified company, was established in 1986 and named in commemoration of the Statue of Liberty’s centennial celebration.

Liberty Doorworks serves general contractors, subcontractors and owners/developers in the New York Metro Area with projects of virtually any size or type.

Liberty Doorworks offers major commercial door and hardware brands, including the ALLEGION and ASSA-ABLOY product lines. Liberty Doorworks also has a hardware expert on staff.

Meet Our Team Leaders

Lorna Sutherland SmithPresident

Lorna was instrumental in establishing Liberty Doorworks in 1985 and became its first employee. The company’s mission: to satisfy a need among general contractors for true customer service. Over the years, she has learned every facet of the business while helping it grow and was named President in 2012.

David Gillmor, Sr.Senior Partner - Estimator

Dave has been involved in the commercial construction industry as a management executive for more than 30 years. He believes that the key to accurate estimating, and ultimately client satisfaction, is through effective communication with the G.C. or developer during the pricing process.

Joseph BottiOperations Manager

Joe brings more than 20 years of experience to the commercial door industry and manages the day-to-day warehouse inventory and custom fabrication services. He is the go-to guy for spot-on hardware solutions, especially when custom applications or jobsite consults are needed to complete a project.
